It is a sensitive adaptation of the Houdon bust depicting a nude Washington facing left with the initials "C.C.W." under truncation, with a wide plain border around finished Wright die. The reverse has Washington's face within a radiant sun at center of 13 links in a circle, each bearing the initials of the 13 original states.
